Price Match FAQ
If you’re ready to purchase at a Canadian Tire Retail store and know of a lower price at a Local Competitor for an Identical Item:
• Show a store associate the Local Competitor’s offer for the Identical Item using a website ad or flyer
•Once the Canadian Tire associate determines that your item qualifies, they will Price Match to the lower offer
If you’ve already purchased an item from Canadian Tire and know of a lower price currently available at a Local Competitor for an Identical Item:
• Visit a Canadian Tire store within 30 days of purchase with your receipt (or 14 days if matching to another Canadian Tire store)
• Show a store associate the Local Competitor’s offer for the Identical Item using a website ad or flyer
• Once the Canadian Tire associate determines that your item qualifies, they will Price Match to the lower offer
• Show a store associate the Local Competitor’s offer for the Identical Item using a website ad or flyer
•Once the Canadian Tire associate determines that your item qualifies, they will Price Match to the lower offer
If you’ve already purchased an item from Canadian Tire and know of a lower price currently available at a Local Competitor for an Identical Item:
• Visit a Canadian Tire store within 30 days of purchase with your receipt (or 14 days if matching to another Canadian Tire store)
• Show a store associate the Local Competitor’s offer for the Identical Item using a website ad or flyer
• Once the Canadian Tire associate determines that your item qualifies, they will Price Match to the lower offer
• An item with the same features, applicable warranty, manufacturer, model number and size/volume currently available for sale at a lower retail price by a Local Competitor
• A product that is new, in original packaging
• Items not on our Exclusion List
The price for items purchased from online retailer websites must include cost of shipping to the Canadian Tire Retail Store where the Price Match is being requested, exchange rates, taxes and any other additional fees.
• Retail stores located in Canada, within a 200 km radius from where the price match is being requested
• Other Canadian Tire Retail stores
• Any Canadian online retailer website, ending in “.ca”
• For Automotive Wheels and Tires, this includes online retailer websites ending in “.com”
The following circumstances are excluded from our Price Match Guarantee:
• Physical retail stores in Canada but located more than 200km from where the price match is being requested
• Prices on Online Exclusive products offered on the CanadianTire.ca website
• Online retailer websites outside of Canada (with exception “.com” retailer websites for the sale of Automotive Tires and Wheels)
• Items with typographical or advertising errors or misprints
• Used, damaged, refurbished, returned, open box or display merchandise
• The sale of bulk propane
The following special offers and discounts are excluded from our Price Match guarantee:
• Items with wholesale pricing, sales that are not available to the general public, or items with a lower retail price only available through a loyalty program
• Discounts offered for volume purchases in excess of what an average consumer would use
• Offers requiring the purchase of more than one item or free offers with the purchase of an additional product (Ex. “Buy One, Get One” sales)
• Mail-in rebates, scratch and save discounts, gifts with purchase, or prepaid cards
• Credit or financing programs offered by Local Competitors
• Prices offered by Local Competitors that are only available when purchased with a proprietary form of payment (e.g., discount when using a Local Competitor’s credit card)
• Local Competitor’s bankruptcy, closeout, clearance, discontinued or liquidation prices, or any other sales where quantities are limited (Note: Clearance prices from other Canadian Tire Retail stores are eligible for Price Match)
• Discounts or any other type of promotional offer made available by any party in connection with the sale of gift cards
• Discounts, gift certificates, coupons or credits of any kind offered by coupon issuers not actually providing the product or service
• “Spend and Get” promotions (e.g., Spend $200, and get a $20 gift card)
• After-purchase Price Matches during special sales events like Black Friday or Cyber Monday
• Clearance items after purchase
The following services, shipping and installation charges are excluded:
• Labour, service or installation charges, delivery or assembly charges
• Emergency automotive parts sourced from third-parties
